What Amazon will reject in your A+ Content (and why)

Amazon has a long list of things you cannot put in A+ Content. Most sellers find out the hard way, after waiting a week for approval and getting rejected.

You spend days designing your A+ Content. You submit it. A week later, Amazon rejects it. No useful explanation, just a vague policy reference. This happens constantly, and most of it is avoidable.

The most common rejection: unsubstantiated claims. Words like "best-selling," "#1," "top-rated," or "award-winning" will get flagged unless you can prove them with specific, verifiable documentation. Amazon does not want your marketing opinion in the A+ section. It wants facts.

Contact information gets rejected every time. No email addresses, no phone numbers, no website URLs, no QR codes, no social media handles. Amazon does not want buyers leaving the platform, and your A+ is not the place to try.

Competitor references are not allowed. You cannot name a competing brand in your comparison charts or anywhere else. You can compare your own product models against each other, but not against Brand X. If your comparison chart has a column called "other brands" with unflattering numbers, expect a rejection.

Pricing, promotions, and shipping information will also get flagged. Anything time-sensitive does not belong in A+ because it becomes outdated. No "limited time offer," no "free shipping," no specific prices.

Images with text that is too small to read on mobile will get flagged. Amazon knows most shoppers are on their phones. If your infographic has text that requires zooming, it may get rejected or it will simply not work for the majority of your buyers.

Warranty and guarantee language needs to be careful. You can mention that a warranty exists, but you cannot make it sound like Amazon is providing or endorsing it.

The approval process typically takes about seven days. Save yourself that cycle by checking every module against these rules before you submit. One rejected element sends the entire submission back.
